Postdoctoral Fellow: A NIH funded postdoctoral position is available to work with Drs. James Connor and Ian Simpson at Penn State Hershey Medical Center to investigate the regulation of iron transport across the blood-brain barrier (BBB). The ideal candidate will be experienced in protein-protein interaction and cell culture models of the BBB. This person will be the lead investigator on all of the BBB culture studies and the protein profiling studies and will work with the PIs on experimental design and data interpretation and will write drafts of resultant manuscripts. There is also opportunity to work with animal models of altered iron metabolism. This is a full-time position with a flexible start date but the goal is to fill the position as soon as possible.
