EBBM 2026 meeting in Aarhus
A fantastic and inspirational three days of European Brain Barriers Meeting (EBBM) 2026 in Aarhus, Denmark have just come to an end.
IBBS extends sincere thanks to the “Vikings of Aarhus” organizing team Judit Prat Duran , Andras Harazin , Birger Brodin and Morten Nielsen. With 162 attendees this was a fully booked event underscoring the importance of the brain barriers in CNS homeostasis and disease. The meeting was characterized by its lively discussions and inclusion of consideration of all brain barriers including tanycytes.
The IBBS Award Best Poster was given to Anna-Lena Börsch from the Department of Neurology, University of Münster, Germany for her poster entitled “Multi-omic profiling reveals fibrosis and inflammation colocalize in the human dura in progressive multiple sclerosis”. Congratulations!
The IBBS Award Best Short Talk was given to Noelia Gesteira Perez from the Laboratory for Therapeutic and Diagnostic Antibodies, KU Leuven, Belgium for her talk entitled “ Astrocyte targeting unlocks prolonged brain retention of transferrin-mediated antibody shuttles”. Congratulations!
