A Postdoctoral Research Position is available in Gert Frickers laboratory at the University of Heidelberg, Germany. The overall project goal is the development of a CNS-targeted prodrug for treatment of neurodenegerative disease, which is linked to an antibody fragment to cross the BBB via receptor mediated transcytosis. The project is part of a larger research program about drug delivery to the CNS with 3 other groups being involved.
Applicants should have good knowledge in receptor identification by Western Blot and immunofluorescence, state-of-the-art microscopic imaging, BBB cell culture models, subcellular localization, PK studies in rodents and analytical techniques. They should be willing to work in an interdisciplinary research team and to be highly motivated to develop as independent scientists. This is a full-time position with start at end of February/beginning of March 2021 and the project will last 3 years.
