Following the previously successful ones, the 11th Annual Course on the BBB in CNS Drug Development will take place as half-day afternoon online events on the 20th, 21st, 22nd, 28th and 29th of October. It has a new schedule and significantly updated and expanded content, covering both small drug molecules and biologics.

The course addresses the latest insights on the mechanisms of Blood-Brain Barrier (BBB) transport and intra-brain distribution for (CNS) drug development. It provides in-depth insight in the complex function of the BBB with regard to transport kinetics in health and disease. Also, it addresses CNS drug delivery, CNS diseases, and preclinical- clinical translation and predictions. It integrates lectures with several extensive hands-on exercises in order to deepen the knowledge conveyed.
The course is valuable for people within the drug industry as well as academia working with blood-brain barrier issues and CNS drug delivery, including large molecules. Please forward the information to colleagues who may be interested. Application before the 15th of September is required to qualify for the lower rate.

Course leaders are Professors Elizabeth CM de Lange, Leiden University, and Margareta Hammarlund-Udenaes, Uppsala University.
