Post-doctoral position is available on a NIH-funded project (Regulation of leukocyte extravasation) focusing on the expression, during CNS inflammatory disease, of leukocytes bearing tight junction (TJ) proteins, and how extracellular vesicles may act as vehicles to transfer TJ proteins from endothelial cells of the blood-brain barrier to leukocytes in order to facilitate transendothelial migration. The applicant should have experience in histology and immunofluorescence, and be comfortable with confocal microscopy and 3D imaging platforms. A commitment of 3 years is expected.
