A post-doctoral position is available in the research laboratory of Prof Joe Nicolazzo at Monash University, Australia.
The successful candidate will lead a novel project investigating the role of blood–brain barrier (BBB) and blood–spinal cord barrier (BSCB) proteins in the progression of neurodegenerative diseases, with a particular focus on motor neurone disease and Alzheimer’s disease. A key aspect of this position will be exploring the pharmacological manipulation of these brain barrier proteins and their impact on disease progression.

If you are interested in working across a range of experimental approaches, including animal models of neurodegeneration, in vitro cell culture, pharmaceutical analysis and imaging modalities, please apply.
