A post-doctoral position is available in the laboratory of Joe Nicolazzo at Monash University, Australia. In this role, the research fellow will work on a number of projects, both academic and in collaboration with industrial partners, focusing on the central nervous system exposure of therapeutic entities, approaches to manipulate the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and microglial phenotype in order to reverse neurodegenerative diseases, and assessment of pharmacokinetics of novel drugs and drug formulations.
You will be involved in projects utilising animal models of disease, in vitro cell culture, pharmaceutical analysis and imaging modalities. You will have the opportunity to be exposed to national collaborative partners (academic and industrial) and will have an opportunity to publish findings in internationally-recognised journals.
