I am a Technology Development Fellow at the Wyss Institute at Harvard University, working within the Brain Targeting Program to identify novel transport proteins for improved brain drug delivery. My involvement in the brain barriers field began during my PhD at the University of Szeged, Hungary, in the laboratory of Prof. Mária Deli, where I developed a human BBB organ-on-a-chip model. My long-term goal is to develop as an independent researcher advancing brain drug delivery by identifying new transport proteins and modalities that enable effective access to the CNS.

Since 2023, I have been actively involved in the IBBS as a junior trainee member. Together with Sidar, I co-founded and currently manage the IBBS LinkedIn page, where we post weekly or biweekly content on diverse topics in the field. Our efforts have significantly increased IBBS’s online visibility and engagement. In addition, we launched the first IBBS webinar series (March–October), attracting global participation. As an elected council member, I aim to further strengthen IBBS’s digital presence, expand outreach through new initiatives such as a career development series and an educational YouTube channel, and, importantly, promote greater involvement of junior researchers in IBBS activities to foster the next generation of brain barriers scientists.
