I have been an active member of the IBBS for several years, contributing to its scientific and community activities. I have co-chaired the GRS on Barriers of the CNS in 2018 and co-organized the CVB 2023 meeting, both of which strengthened my commitment to fostering collaboration and innovation within our field. In addition, I am actively involved with the Fluids and Barriers of the CNS journal, supporting the dissemination of high-quality research and the visibility of our society’s work.
My vision for IBBS is to continue advancing our understanding of brain barriers while further developing the educational and mentoring aspects of the society. I would like to help expand opportunities for early-career researchers through targeted training courses, workshops, and accessible online resources. By integrating education, scientific excellence, and community engagement, I aim to strengthen the IBBS as a dynamic, inclusive platform that supports researchers at all career stages and continues to lead the field in translational neurovascular science.
